In this course, students will define the requisite terms for a valid offer and the rules involved in accepting this offer. As paralegals, students must understand why these two things are important when it comes to assisting attorneys who draft contracts and litigate contractual matters. Students will discuss the definitions and reasons for certainty of the terms offered as well as the impact of the mirror image rule, the mailbox rule and the purpose of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
In this course, students will review the first two elements for a valid contract as well as continue to build on the facts they have already learned.
